My car is overheating. Why?

Your vehicle may be overheating due to low coolant from a coolant leak. Coolant is an important component in your car - just an important as fuel. Coolant keeps your engine at a proper temperature and prevents damage. The cooling system consists of your radiator, water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses, heater hoses, expansion plugs, and heater core.  If you have a coolant leak give us a call and we will let you know what needs to be done to get you back on the road again. 541-791-2886 Happy Adventures, Heather  

My battery died

My battery died

Like all things car batteries do have life cycle and typically a good quality battery will last 5-6 years. That's a lot of starting, headlights, heating/air conditioning, and singing along to the radio. When you live in cold climates where it is consistently freezing that can decrease the life of your battery and the same goes for if you live in very warm areas.  If you're concerned about your battery, stop by we do free electrical and battery checks.  Happy Adventures, Heather

Your diesel engine may have had a block heater installed at the factory, if not then it's a good idea to have one installed if you live in cooler climates. It can help extend the life of many of your engine componets including the starting system. What is better snow tires or chains?

That depends on where you live and how much driving you do, even if you have snow tires in certain situations you're still going to need to put chains on. Why does my diesel losing power?

Your diesel could be losing power from a plugged fuel filter and/or from bad fuel. Your fuel filter should be changed every 10,000 to 15,000 miles. If you're unsure of the quality of the fuel you're getting then it's better to change it more often.  If you're having issues with lack of power with your diesel give us a call at 541-791-2886 and we'll get you back on the road again. If your car has a misfire it is most likely due to the fact the spark plugs are worn out and are due for replacement. Most cars and pickups need a tune up between 30,000 and 90,000 miles and that all depends on the engine that is in your vehicle. My diesel won't accelerate. Why?

It could be your turbo has failed and is plugged. My car is shaking, why?

If your car is shaking if could be you have a bent wheel or a tire that is out of balance. It should be checked to make sure you're safe.
