If you're diesel is blowing blue smoke it typically means it's either burning oil when it shouldn't be or it's getting to much fuel in the engine and that isn't being used. Either of these issues can cause poor fuel mileage and your engine to not run as it should. Give us a call or request an appointment online and we will make sure you get to where you want to be. Depending on your specific engine your car should have a tune up anywhere from 30,000 to 90,000 miles. When a tune up is performed the spark plugs and wires/boots are changed. The spark plugs are an important component that allows your engine to perform to the best of it's ability. When they are worn it can cause run-a-bility issues. If it's been awhile since you had a tune up on your engine give us a call or request an appointment online and we will let you know how often and when it should be done. Happy Adventures, Heather

Your tires have wear bars on them and they should be replaced when you get to the wear bars. At that point they do not have enough tread left to displace water and could cause you to hydroplane on water. If you're unsure if your car is ready for tires stop by and we will check them for you and let you know if you're due. I would also suggest an alignment whenever you get new tires. It's protection on the investment you made on your car. Happy Adventures, Heather

The fluid in your front and rear differentials is a specific gear oil and should be changed every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. The range really depends on how heavy your vehicle is and if and/or how much you tow with your vehicle. The first service should be somewhere between 10,000 and 20,000 miles. When the gears are new they give off more metal. Servicing the fluids in your vehicle more often is never a bad thing. The fluid does break down over time and a fluid service is usually good insurance for the gear and drivetrain of your vehicle to last for years to come. Give us a call or request an appointment online and we will make sure you're ready for all your travels. Happy Adventures, Heather
