My check engine light is on and my car is running rough

If your check engine light is on and it's running rough then it could be due to a bad PCV valve. This valve controls crankcase ventilation it helps to remove the harmful gases from the crankcase. If it is damaged or broken then it will not work correctly and cause your vehicle to not run properly. This valve will need to be replaced to make your vehicle run properly. Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

My pickup shakes when I drive

Depending upon how badly your pickup is shaking it could be an issue with one of your front end steering and suspension components. When these components get loose and worn out they will have excess movement in them that can cause a death wobble. This is when your pickup starts to shake uncontrollably. This can be a very dangerous situation, it can cause you to lose control of your vehicle and be unable to stop or steer properly. The best thing to do if you find yourself in this situation is to take your foot off the pedal and start slowing down. This should allow you to regain control of your vehicle. We also recommend to have it checked as soon as you can to keep you safe on the road. Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

My car is pulling when I drive

This pulling could be due to your vehicle being out of alignment. When your wheels and tires are not in proper alignment it can cause a pull to either one side or the other. This can happen due to rough roads, pot holes, and curbs. If left for to long it can damage your tires and cause premature tire wear. We recommend to have an alignment performed once a year to make sure you're driving straight down the road. Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

My check engine light is on

Your check engine light can come on from anything as simple as a gas cap to an electrical failure and everything in between. The only way to know why it's on is to have a diagnostic test performed to find out why and what needs to be done to keep you on the road. This is not the same thing as a quick scan. While a quick scan is convenient it will not always tell you what the problem is. Let's say you have a misfire code. This you would think means that you need new spark plugs and this could be true, but what if you just had a tune up and this is now coming back. Your spark plugs are probably fine it most likely an issue with one of the other ignition components. This requires a test to find out which one it is. I wouldn't want you to go through the process and expense of another tune up when it's not needed. Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

My battery keeps dying

If your battery keeps dying then it could be due to an issue with the electrical issue. Most newer cars have many modules that control the cars function - from the starting system to the stereo. If one of these modules refuses to turn off then it will cause a draw and that can make your battery die. To find our why we need to do a pin point test to eliminate modules. This can take some time as some vehicles will have 20+ modules. Once the corrupt module is found we can decide if it needs to be replaced or possibly reprogrammed. Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures, Heather

My check engine light is on and my car is shaking

Your check engine light and your vehicle shaking could be due to the same issue. You could have a misfire causing both of those symptoms. When your vehicle is not firing properly then it can cause your vehicle to shake. This fault will also cause the check engine light to come on. Typically we see when your tune up is overdue or if it has a leak that has caused the spark plugs to be covered in oil. Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

When I turn the key my pickup won't start it just clicks

This could be due to an issue with your starting system. If your starting is fail then when you go to start your engine it will make a click noise. Of course there could be a secondary issue along with the starter, but most of the time we find it is a simple fix. Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather
