If your battery is several years old, a seemingly random failure may be attributed to its age. 2. **Parasitic Drains:**    Parasitic drains refer to electrical devices or systems that continue to draw power from the battery even when the car is turned off. Common culprits include interior lights, improperly closed doors, or malfunctioning electronic components. Why did my car not start?

Why did my car not start? Your vehicle may not have started due to a faulty battery. If you are not driving as much like many people right now then your battery may have died due to a lack of driving. Newer vehicles have many modules that are on even if your vehicle is turned off. These modules keep the computer working properly and all the other electrical components. We recommend for you to take your car out for a drive at least once a week. If you are concerned about your battery stop by and we will perform a free battery check for you. Give us a call and let us take care of you. Happy Adventures, Heather

My car was hard to start

Your car could have been hard to start due your battery needing replacement. Your battery has a life of 4 to 6 years - this depends on the type and quality of your battery. If your battery is good quality then many times you can exceed the 6 year mark, if it isn't then your battery may only last for 2 to 4 years. Quality does make a difference in the longevity of your battery life. When your battery is weak then it will cause your car to crank slowly and a hard start.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

When I turn my key my car won't start

This could be due to multiple things. The first thing that should be checked is your battery. Your battery should last from 4 to 6 years, but if you live in a hot or cold climate then your battery may not last as long. Many times a battery that is getting older will stop working when we have a big swing in temperature - like when we get our first cold snap or our first hot day of the year. We do free battery checks - just give us a call and we will take care of you.  Happy Adventures, Heather

Why did my battery die?

Batteries have a life span that is typically 5-7 years. This depends on the type of battery it also depends on the area of the country where you live. If you happen to live in an area that has extreme hot and cold cycles then your battery will not last as long as if you lived in an area that had milder temperatures that were not as extreme. Fortunately in the Willamette Valley in Oregon we don't have huge swings in temperature typically. We will have a few days that is gets warm and a few that are really cold, but mostly we have mild temperatures.  Give us a call and let us take care of you. 541-791-2886 Happy Adventures,  Heather

My battery was jumped wrong and my car won't start

In almost all cases your vehicle will need to be towed. This can be a costly repair depending on what was damaged. It can damage many components of your electrical system and battery. We always start by checking your battery function and your fuses. Then after those have been checked we move on to control modules and wiring damage. Sometimes we are lucky and it's just a blown fuse and you're back on the road. When ever you are having your battery jumped for any reason make sure it is hooked up properly.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures, Heather
