Your brake fluid will become green when it is contaminated with moisture from the air. The moisture content of your brake fluid should not be above 3%. It needs to be serviced any time it is above 3%. This green color is from algae that grows in the brake fluid from the moisture. This moisture is damaging to your braking components. A brake fluid service is when we flush out all of your brake lines and hydraulic components with new fluid.
