When your brakes are squealing it could be due to your brakes being low on material. When your brakes get to a predetermined amount typically 3-4mm then a squealer will let you know that your brakes are getting close to needing to be replaced. If your car is shaking when you press on the brakes then it could be that your rotors are  then it could be from your brakes. If your brake components get to hot then it can cause damage to your rotors that will cause a vibration when braking.
