Your check engine light is a picture of an engine and when it comes on there is a problem with your engine or your transmission. It can come on due to a misfire, engine failure, a sensor, and it also monitors your transmission and drivetrain. The maintenance light typically says "service engine soon" it's usually your reminder for your oil change. On some vehicles it also monitors the life of your fuel filter and other components too. Give us a call and let us take care of you and your automotive needs. Happy Adventures, Heather

I know today is black Friday and that itself has become a national holiday, but with all of that please remember to shop at the local stores in your town. They are small businesses trying to provide for there families, they work long hours with very little reward other than to know they are making a difference in the lives of the people who they employ and to there children. We are a small business too and sometimes people forget. Please remember to shop small and support that local family who is doing their best to make a difference. Happy Adventures, Heather

Your dash lights might flicker due to a poor connection or an electrical issue. This time of year when it's dark for so many hours being able to see your dash is important, Happy Adventures Heather

The light could be on due to soot buildup in the filter. There is a cleaning procedure that can be performed in a service bay, that is always the first step before replacement of the filter. If you're having issues with your particulate filter give us a call and we will get you back on the road. Happy Adventures, Heather

That indicator is for the electronic throttle control and if it comes on it is best to have it checked out. Many throttles (gas pedal) are not controlled electronically and not by a cable. Happy Adventures Heather

Your tire pressure light lets you know when your tire pressure is low to prevent a blow out when you're driving down the highway. It also prevents tire damage from driving on tires that do not have enough pressure in them. If that light comes on it's best to have it checked as soon as you can. Happy Adventures Heather

An ABS warning light indicates that there is something wrong with the ABS system. Your brakes will still work with this light on, but your ABS will not and that could be handy in an emergency situation. Give us a call and we will take care of you. Happy Adventures Heather

That is your battery warning light and it should be a picture of a batter and it should be red. This sign is an indication that the battery in your car is having an issue, and may not be charging anymore. If you spot this while driving, the first thing to do is to turn off all electrical components in your car. This includes the air conditioning, heating, stereo, interior lighting, seat heaters/coolers. Don't switch off the headlights if you are driving at night, but if you are driving during the day turn off the day time running lights. If at all possible stop by and we will help you resolve this issue before it causes more trouble. Happy Adventures Heather

That is your engine oil pressure light, it should look like an oil pitcher and it will be red. If that ever comes on when you are driving please pull over, it can mean that your engine is low on oil and if you were to keep driving it could cause major damage to your engine. It doesn't always mean that it is low on oil or that there is an issue, but it is best to treat it that way just to be safe. So, if you spot that light on your dash while you are driving, pull over, turn off the engine and call for a professional to help. Happy Adventures Heather
