What a clogged oil filter means.
A clogged oil filter is concerning. When your oil filter is clogged then oil cannot pass through it properly. Your oil filter has a bypass valve at allows contaminants to flow through your engine. These contaminates can cause possible damage and premature engine failure. If your oil filter is getting clogged during regular maintenance then that is an indication that something else is going on with your engine. Prolonged oil change intervals and not changing your oil filter at every oil change can wreak havoc on your engine and it's components.
