Can I drive my car with a leaking head gasket?

Can I drive my car with a leaking head gasket?

Yes, you can, until you cannot. This depends on if the leak is internal or external. If your leak is internal, it is not advised due to the change of engine damage. The antifreeze will get into your engine oil and then it causes damage to all the internally lubricated parts. This will cause engine failure. If your leak is external, then you can drive it if you keep it full of antifreeze. The engine head gasket will need to be replaced to keep your car running properly. Give us a call and let us take care of you.

Happy Adventures,

Heather
