How often should I change my diesel fuel filter?

We typically recommend that you change your fuel filter every 10,000 to 15,000 miles. If you think you have gotten a bad tank of fuel then we recommend that is changed again to prevent issues with your fuel system. Your fuel filter is sometimes a water separator on certain makes and models.

Keeping water out of your fuel system is important. If your fuel is contaminated it can cause your fuel injectors to fail, high-pressure pump failure, low-pressure pump failure, fuel pump failure and possible engine damage.

Give us a call and let us take care of you.

Happy Adventures,

Heather
