Depending on what color your puddle is it can be anything from engine oil or transmission fluid or power steering fluid to gear oil. Your vehicle takes many different fluids and they all have very specific purposes. Your fluids keep the internal components of your vehicle lubricated properly and running as it should. When it is low on fluid then it can cause premature wear and damage to those components.
