I was driving and my car made a sound and died.

I am so sorry, this is typically what we call a bad day. This can happen for so many reasons. One of the most common reasons that we see is the timing belt breaks. Your timing belt should be serviced every 60,000 to 90,000 miles. This depends on your engine and the driving that you do. When your timing belt breaks it can damage your internal engine parts. It's just good maintenance to have your timing belt serviced at it's proper interval.
