My check engine light came on now what?



Your check engine light came on due to a fault in one of your operating systems. Your check engine light monitors the modules and systems that keep your car running properly. If one of those systems or modules is not working properly then it will cause your check engine light to come on. A quick scan will tell you the error code, but it will not tell you why the error code happened. To know why it came on you will need to have an engine diagnostic test run.
