My check engine light keeps going off an on

This could be due to an issue with your fuel trim. If you have an oxygen sensor that is beginning to fail it will cause the light to come on and go off as it is ready correctly or incorrectly. The only way to know for sure what is going on is to have a diagnostic test run on your car to make sure the diagnosis is correct.
