The engine symbol on your instrument cluster is a warning that something within your vehicle has malfunctioned. It could be something as simple as when you got fuel that the gas cap wasn't tightened enough or the seal on the gas cap is worn and your vehicle needs a new gas cap. It could also mean something more serious is going on and needs to be addressed. Either way your vehicle needs to be checked out to make sure you're safe on all your travels.
