Anytime that your vehicle is running poorly and starts to blow white smoke that can be concerning for sure. We had a diesel pickup in a few days ago with those exact symptoms. We were able to diagnose the issue as bad fuel. We drained the fuel tank, cleaned it, added good fuel and a cleaning additive, re-drove and the pickup is running perfect.
