The Great American Road Trip is Here



This summer has been deemed the summer of the great American road trip. I think that every summer should be the great American road trip. We should all get out and see what our great nation has to offer. To see the amazing landmarks and visit those national parks. I also believe you should start in your own back yard. Find out what your state has to offer and explore. You never know when you will find something amazing.

After the last year of being cooped up and we are all ready to get out and about. Are you planning your road trip this summer? Where are you headed? We have so many beautiful and wondrous places in our great nation to visit it is so hard to just pick one. Do you want an epic adventure where you go to as many places as possible or will you keep it closer to home and just do a weekend adventure?

Jason and I both have a list of places we want to visit, and we are making our own road trip itinerary. We would love to see all the national parks. We also have a fondness for water, so we have a few lakes and rivers we would like to visit as well. This year we chose to keep our road trip to our own state. While an epic adventure sounds amazing, our two oldest boys are working, and we want to bring them along. Maybe next year.

When talking about road trips the first thing that comes to mind is where are you headed? The next is what are you driving? It is a road trip, so driving is a huge part of it. The next question is, is your vehicle ready? Are you towing an RV? Tent camping? Hotels? I know so many questions. Even if you just leave your house with no idea where you are going and what the plan is you still need to know that your vehicle is in good condition so you can make it to where you are headed. A pre-trip inspection and an oil change is the perfect place to start. After that making sure you are up to date with your factory maintenance and recommended services. The point of a road trip is family bonding and adventure. The last thing I would want to do is spend it dealing with a broken down vehicle.
