What is a thermostat

Posted on 11/13/2019

A thermostat regulates the temperature of your engine. It opens and closes based on your engine temperature letting in more or less coolant as needed. This keeps your engine operating at it's best and keeps everything in properly working order. When your thermostat is stuck it can cause your engine to either operate at a cold temperature or it can cause your engine to overheat. Either way your thermostat will need to be replaced in order to make your engine run properly.
