Why did a rodent chew my wiring?

With all the rain lately, it has brought many animals closer and some into our garages. They are looking for a warm place and your engine is just what they are looking for. The wiring that connects your electrical components is coated to protect the wire from damage. The coating that is applied to the wiring is attractive to them and they think it is tasty too. Unfortunately, when they start chewing on the coating many times, they will damage the wire under the coating. This will cause electrical issues and run ability issues for your vehicle. The wiring will need to be repaired to fix the electrical issues. To help keep them away, I would try a couple of dryer sheets. They do not like the smell and it should help to keep them away from your wiring. Give us a call and let us take care of you.

Happy Adventures,

Heather
