Why do my brakes squeak?

Posted on 4/22/2020

Your brakes could be squeaking due to the type of material the brake pad is composed of, it could also be due to the pad being worn out. If your brake pad lining is thin then it can cause squeaking. Many manufacturers will make the brake pad squeak when they are worn to a specified amount to let you know they need to be changed. We perform free brake inspections to keep you safe on your travels, give us a call at (541) 791-2886 to schedule your inspection.
