Why does my engine have low oil pressure?



Your gauges could be showing that you have low oil pressure due to a faulty oil pressure sending unit. If your oil pressure sending unit has failed, then it will not read that amount of oil pressure in your engine correctly. There are other components that can fail this will also cause low oil pressure. If you think you are having an issue with your engine oil pressure, then it needs to be checked right away.
