Why should I warm up my car before driving?

Posted on 6/10/2020

Because Jason says so.

All kidding aside it's always a good idea to give your engine a few moments to warm up before driving. This period of time allows all of your components to be properly lubricated before you put a load on them. This can be just a few moments or up to 15 minutes, this depends on you and your timeline. After sitting overnight I try to let mine warm up for at least 5 minutes, sometimes that's possible other times it is not. When I am in a hurry and I forget I will get in start my car then put on my seat belt, plug in my phone and turn on my music. Don't tell Jason......
