If your car won't start when you turn the key it could be due to multiple things including a bad fuel pump. If your fuel pump stops doing it's job which is to supply your engine with the fuel it needs to run properly then your car won't start. Your fuel pump is just that it's an electric pump in your fuel tank that pumps fuel from your tank to your engine. If it stops working then it will need to be replaced to keep you on the road.
