My clutch smells

Posted on 7/29/2020

If you're new to driving a manual then it could be that you're holding in the clutch too long or pressing on the accelerator a little too hard when taking off from a stop. If this happens for an extended period of time it can damage your clutch and flywheel if this happens they will need to be replaced. It's also possible that if you purchased your vehicle second hand then the clutch is worn out and it's due for replacement. Your clutch does have a life span and that depends on how you drive and the material that your clutch is made out of. If you're concerned about your clutch you're welcome to stop by and we will check it for you.
