My oil pressure gauge stopped working

Posted on 12/16/2020

Your oil pressure could have dropped out due to an issue with your oil pump. If your oil pump is not pumping enough oil out of your oil pan into your engine then it can cause engine failure. Your oil is the lifeblood of your engine and if it doesn't have it then it won't run. This can be tested by putting a mechanical gauge on your engine to test how much oil pressure you have. If your oil can light comes on while you're driving then you should pull over as soon as it is safe and turn off your engine.
