Let's start with what FICM stands for. It means Fuel Injector Control Module.
Now let's chat with what it does. Your FICM controls your fuel injectors with the voltage needed for them to work properly. It tells them when and how much fuel to add to your engine depending on how much throttle you are giving your engine.
When a FICM begins to fail, you may notice hard starts, a misfire, long cranking times, loss of power, engine stalling and could cause a crank no start.
A failing FICM can look like an injector problem, so testing FICM voltage, battery condition, charging system performance, wiring, and related circuits is important before replacing injectors.
