What should I do if my car is blowing white smoke?

If your vehicle suddenly starts to blow white smoke then you should pull over as soon as it is safe to do so and to turn off your engine. Typically that means that something has gone wrong in your engine and it will need to be diagnosed. It could be something simple or you could have had a major failure.
