Why did my temperature gauge go to the hot mark

Posted on 7/22/2020

This could be due to your thermostat sticking closed. Your thermostat is designed to open when your engine gets to the optimal operating temperature. This allows your engine to work more efficiently and will give your engine a longer life. When your thermostat stops working it can cause your engine to overheat. Overheating your engine can cause long term damage and is hard on components.
