Why does my engine make a ticking noise?

Posted on 7/23/2020

Your engine is most likely making a ticking noise due to your lifters inside your engine being worn out or damaged. They could be "stuck" which will cause the noise also. To make the ticking go away then you will need to replace the lifters. This can be prevented by regular oil changes and maintenance. When you change your engine oil on a regular basis then it allows your lifters to work more efficiently and with less wear.
