Why should I change my belts?

The heart of your vehicle's engine is intricately driven by a series of belts, including the serpentine and timing belts. These belts are crucial for the smooth functioning of your engine and, ultimately, your vehicle. Today, we'll explore why regular belt replacements are essential to maintaining your vehicle’s reliability and ensuring it runs smoothly. Behind the seamless operation of your vehicle lies the constant duty of belts, which drive vital components. The wear and tear on these belts due to heat, friction, and exposure to environmental elements can lead to cracks, fraying, and other deterioration signs. Inspecting and replacing these belts promptly can help maintain their integrity and avoid possible failures. Proper tension is required for belts to operate efficiently. Worn belts may loosen, causing slippage and decreased efficiency, which impacts the overall performance of the engine. Why Regular Maintenance is Important

Your vehicle is more than just a mode of transportation; it's an investment in convenience, freedom, and, most importantly, your safety. Just like any investment, proper care and maintenance are essential to ensure that it serves you well for years to come.  1. **Extended Lifespan:** Regular maintenance is akin to giving your vehicle a prescription for a long and healthy life. Simple tasks such as regular oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks can significantly extend the lifespan of your vehicle. By addressing minor issues promptly, you prevent them from escalating into major, costly problems down the road. 2. **Optimal Performance:** Think of your vehicle as an athlete; it performs at its best when it's in peak condition. Regular maintenance, including air filter changes, spark plug replacements, and fuel system cleanings, ensures that your vehicle operates at its optimal level. This not only enhances performance but also contributes to better fuel efficiency ... read more

What services does my car need for spring?

What services does my car need for spring?

What services does my car need for spring? Spring has finally arrived in the Willamette Valley. The weather is getting warmer, and it is so nice the sun is still out when I get off work. Every season has its own requirements and challenges. Spring in Oregon typically means rain and more rain. This could mean a new set of wipers. Possibly a tire alignment and/or rotation. All the rain is what makes Oregon green and beautiful. If you have lived here for a bit, you find you do not mind the rain to much. Spring means day trips to go fishing and hiking. It also means spring cleaning and organizing. Spring is a great time to get your car on the schedule for an oil change. It is also a good time to have your car checked out to make sure those day trips are good family fun. It gives you piece of mind and one less thing to worry about. It is a good time to get caught up on maintenance before summer comes and you are ready to go play. Give us a call and let us take care of you.   Find us ... read more

2002 Honda Civic

Today I bring you another tail of the Civic that we see on a regular basis. Today she has 601,645 miles. Yes that is correct. The reason she has that many miles is due to an amazing owner who has taken such good care of her car. We see her every 3,000 miles and we do all of her factory scheduled recommended services when they're needed.  Today she brought her in for her 3,000 mile service and inspection. Today was an easy day, she just needed an oil change and a turn signal bulb replaced. We talked with the owner and let her know that in another 15,000 miles she would be due for her struts and then in 30,000 miles she would need a tune up. We always let her know what's coming up next so it's not a surprise for her.  Are you ready for a maintenance schedule? Are you ready to know what's coming up next so you're not surprised by what it takes to take care of your car. Give us a call and let us take care of you. We will make you a customized maintenanc ... read more
