Today I bring you another tail of the Civic that we see on a regular basis. Today she has 601,645 miles. Yes that is correct. The reason she has that many miles is due to an amazing owner who has taken such good care of her car. We see her every 3,000 miles and we do all of her factory scheduled recommended services when they're needed.  Today she brought her in for her 3,000 mile service and inspection. Today was an easy day, she just needed an oil change and a turn signal bulb replaced. We talked with the owner and let her know that in another 15,000 miles she would be due for her struts and then in 30,000 miles she would need a tune up. I am not someone who makes new year resolutions, maybe I should be but it's just not my personality. Typically if I decide I'm going to do something then I just do it and move on. We here this sometimes and typically it's an older vehicle that just needs some regular maintenance. Now your vehicle may not be worth per blue book what it could take to keep it on the road, but with the same money could you go out and buy a different vehicle that is in better shape. 9 times out of 10 no you can't. Now if you're in the market for a newer vehicle or a new one, then take the money and put it as a down payment on that new vehicle.  To us as long as you're safe on the road that's what really matters.
