It is most likely smoking because it has a leak. When oil leaks onto the exhaust it can cause smoke. While it doesn't happen all the time it could catch on fire and cause an even bigger issue. You should have it checked immediately, to keep you safe and those around you. Give us a call and we will get it checked for you. Happy Adventures, Heather

I know today is black Friday and that itself has become a national holiday, but with all of that please remember to shop at the local stores in your town. They are small businesses trying to provide for there families, they work long hours with very little reward other than to know they are making a difference in the lives of the people who they employ and to there children. We are a small business too and sometimes people forget. Please remember to shop small and support that local family who is doing their best to make a difference. Happy Adventures, Heather

Why is my car overheating? When your car or pickup is overheating it is most likely due to low coolant or antifreeze. There of course are many other reasons for it to overheat, but that is typically the most common. It is important for your engine to have coolant in it and the correct type. If you're engine is overheating it's time to have it checked out. Did you know we do alignments too. We do! We can take care of your vehicle top to bottom, bumper to bumper. Happy Adventures Heather

The fact of the matter is your cars a/c system is a sealed unit. The E.P.A. has mandated that automotive a/c should not leak freon/refrigerant into the air. If you are adding to your cars a/c system there is a leak that should be found and repaired. Some leaks are large and very easy to find, while others can be very small and very difficult to find. We have very expensive leak detectors that help us find those small leaks, even with these tools we sometimes can’t find it and we will fill the system with a dye and ask you to come back for a recheck in a week or two. The whole point of an a/c system is to keep you cool on your adventures and not that the breeze doesn't feel great, but with all this smoke in the air I would rather not. Happy Adventures Heather

Your check engine light can come on for so many reasons - sometimes it's as simple as a loose gas cap and other times if not addressed can cause engine damage. The best way to know what is going on is to take it in and have it checked . It happens to all of us. The picture is of my check engine light that came on just a few weeks ago. It was for the knock sensor which is a common failure on my car. I had them replaced and now it's running beautiful again. Give us a call and we'll make sure you keep going to where you're headed. Over the weekend we took the crew and my Mom on our annual summer trip. Every year we pick a new adventure and this year we decided we would go rock fishing off Newport for the day. We picked the wrong day. The forecast said it would be warm and we expected some waves. What we got was something totally different. Instead we had what Mom referred to as a deadliest catch day. We'll just say it was a little rough and cold. I think Olivia and I have finally thawed out.. Our crew did amazing, even with a few of us who got sick, spirits were still high and we had fun. Don't they say a bad day fishing is better than...…We look forward to our day every year and we have already started to discuss what could be on the docket for next summer. We know that you have plans for the rest of the summer and fall will be here before you know it. Are you ready for your trip? Make sure you are by scheduling a pre-trip inspection, oil change and get your maintenance do ... read more

It's that time of the year when we all turn on our car air conditioning system on the first 80 degree day, it's not something we've thought about for the last 8 months and we remember it was cold the last time we used it and now it's not. No one wants to be in a hot car with no air conditioning or running around with the windows down with all the pollen in the air. It could be as simple as the refrigerant in your air conditioning system is low and it just needs a recharge, or you could have a component that went out sometime over the winter. The easiest way to know what happened is to schedule an appointment to have your air conditioning system tested. One other detail that most people don't realize is that the air conditioning compressor also turns off and on all winter when you're using your defroster, so it really works all year long.
