This ticking noise could be coming from your exhaust manifold. Over time the bolts that connect the exhaust manifold to your cylinder head will become brittle and they can break. The bolts get hot every time you drive your car and that hot/cold cycle after many miles can cause an issue. This is a common issue that is corrected by removing the broken bolt and gasket, then replacing the gasket and hardware. There are other reasons for your engine to be ticking, but this is a common problem. Give us a call to schedule your appointment and let us take care of you. Happy Adventures, Heather

Your engine is most likely making a ticking noise due to your lifters inside your engine being worn out or damaged. They could be "stuck" which will cause the noise also. To make the ticking go away then you will need to replace the lifters. This can be prevented by regular oil changes and maintenance. When you change your engine oil on a regular basis then it allows your lifters to work more efficiently and with less wear. Give us a call and let us take care of you. Happy Adventures, Heather
