Why are my brakes getting hot?

Your brakes may be getting hot due to a disc brake caliper dragging or sticking. When your disc brake caliper starts to drag or stick then it will cause your brakes to be applied all the time. The disc brake caliper has an internal piston. This will cause your brakes to get hot. Over time it will cause your brake pads to wear prematurely and uneven wear. You may notice that your fuel mileage has gone down as well. It will also cause your fuel mileage to go down. It will also cause damage to other components if it is not repaired.

Happy Adventures,

Heather
