Why does my car overheat when stopped

Your car is overheating when you're driving due to restricted air flow to the radiator and the engine. When you're stopped and idling there is no air flow. You may have a coolant leak of some kind or your radiator may be plugged with debris. Either way it needs to be checked before it does damage to your engine.

Give us a call and let us take care of you.

Happy Adventures,

Heather
