If your car is running lean it might be due to one of your emissions components. If one of these components is not working as it should then it can cause your check engine light to come on. To know which component is causing the error we would need to run an engine diagnostic test. An engine diagnostic test will test the different modules in your ECM for proper specifications and determine if they are working within the proper specification.
