Why did my car just shut off?

Why did my car just shut off?

Your engine could have shut off while driving due to your timing belt breaking. Depending on the manufacturer and your engine your timing belt could be due at 60,000 miles to 90,000 miles. When your timing belt breaks your engine will die. This can also cause damage to the valves which are inside your cylinder heads. The only way to know if it has damaged your engine is to take components off the front of your engine and just replace the timing belt. We then attempt to start your engine. If it starts, then we complete the timing belt repair. If it does not then we will need to rebuild the cylinder heads.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.
