Summer Travel 2020

This year travel looks a bit different than it has in the past. Instead of being carefree it's a bit more cautious. We know what is happening in the world is strange and scary, we've also changed many of our plans for the summer. Here are a few tips to get you back on the road and enjoying yourself despite COVID. 1. Plan ahead - I know over planning can ruin a perfectly good road trip, but in this case it's a good thing. Plan your stops ahead of time. 2. Pack snacks - no brainer right, well my kids favorite thing to do is to grab a snack when we stop for fuel. Instead I pack snacks ahead of time and this prevents them from being exposed to other people 3. Pack a cooler - this goes along with #2, planning ahead and packing a cooler prevents you from getting out of the car more than necessary. 4. Go on a weekday - this very well could be a no go, it is for us, but if you can get away on a week day then it's the best time to go, less people means less exposure.  ... read more

Why is it important to get an alignment?

It's important to get an alignment because when your vehicle is out of "alignment" it can cause tire wear, poorly handling, poor fuel mileage and damage to components. You should have an alignment whenever you have suspension work performed and after new tires. You should have your alignment checked at least once a year due to road hazards that you probably never think about. Hitting a pot hole hard enough can cause damage to your car and it can cause your alignment to suffer.  Give us a call and let us take care of you. 541-791-2886 Happy Adventures,  Heather

When turn the key it won't start

This can be from so many different reasons. One reason is that your fuel pump has failed. Your fuel pump pumps fuel from your fuel tank to your engine. They have a motor on them and they do fail after time. When replacing your fuel pump you should always replace your fuel filter at the same time. Some vehicles the fuel pump comes as an assembly with the fuel pump and other's it is near your engine.  Give us a call and let us take care of you 541-791-2886 Happy Adventures,  Heather

Why did my car start to shake?

Having your car act up is never a good time and typically it's very worrisome. When your driving and your car starts to shake it could be from an old spark plug. Your spark plugs should be changed every 30,000 miles to 90,000 miles. This depends on the type of spark plugs that your vehicle takes.  Give us a call and let us take care of you 541-791-2886 Happy Adventures,  Heather

My car has a rattle. Why?

Your car may have a rattle due to a loose heat shield on the exhaust. This heat shield protects your car from the heat radiating off the exhaust. Your heat shield is made of metal and over time where it is held on can become damaged and it can come loose. When this happens it will cause a rattle from the heat shield laying on your exhaust. Typically this is something that can be repaired easily, but the only way to know is for our technicians to look at it first.  Give us a call and let us take care of you. 541-791-2886 Happy Adventures,  Heather
