Most off automotive batteries have a life cycle of 5-6 years. Some will keep working longer than that and others don't last that long. Some of that depends on how many times the battery died due to be drained, or an issue with the alternator. Another factor is the climate that you live in. If you have extremes - cold and hot - it can wear your battery down faster. If you're having an issue stop by and we will do a free electrical check for you.
