Why is my car squeaking?

Your car might be squeaking due to your sway bar bushings being worn out. The sway bar bushings are just one component of your front suspension. These bushings are important as they increase your vehicles stability when you are cornering and turning. Being safe on your travels is important, whether to work, the grocery store or across the mountains.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

2002 Honda Civic - part 1

Today I'm going to tell you a little story about a car. This car is a 2002 Honda Civic and it currently has 580,116 miles on the odometer - yes you read that correctly 580,116 miles. The owners goal is to make it to the 1,000,000 mile mark. How neat is that, and really unheard of. So many people are just ready to scrap a car because it's at 100,000 miles and this one is 580,116 miles. To get to this point has taken some effort from the owner and from us to listen to her needs and concerns. She loves her car and it's been the perfect fit for her. She commutes to work each day and this gets her to where she needs to be.  Do you know how this happened? Well it's all due to regular maintenance on the car. From tune ups, fluid services, timing belts and replacing worn out parts when it's time. She is vigilant, so when something is off she calls and makes an appointment to make sure everything is running properly.  We made this car a custom maintenan ... read more

When should I plug my diesel truck in?

You should plug in your diesel engine block heater when the temperatures start to drop below 40 degrees. This helps to keep your engine oil and coolant warmer to allow your engine to start more efficiently and much smoother.  This can also extend the life of your engine and starting system.  Give us a call at 541-791-2886 and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

When should I have an oil change?

This depends on the type of oil that your engine requires. If your engine requires conventional or synthetic blend then you should have your oil changed every 3,000 miles. If your engine requires a full synthetic oil then you should have your oil changed every 5,000 miles. Now for every rule there is always an exception, and that will depend on your individual vehicle.  We also suggest for all diesel's no matter if it is our synthetic blend or full synthetic that you have the oil changed every 5,000 miles.  We service all makes and models. Domestic, Asian or European we can take care of them all. Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

Fall travels

Now that summer break is over it's probably time to get your car in to have it serviced from all of your adventures. The next adventure is fall sports with the kids and I am sure it's our busiest time of the year with the most driving. We have an extra week this year before games start so I have just a little extra time to get my oil change and inspection done before the season really gets underway.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures, Heather

First day of School 2019

Today is the first day of school for the kids. Please keep an eye out for them as they are crossing the street and trying to get to school. Leave just a few minutes early to make sure you're not running late with all the buses picking up kids.  I know one of mine is ready for sure the other two not so much. It's a big year for us as our first is a senior and will be graduating in June. I'm not sure where the time has gone, it's been a blur.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures, Heather

My pickup is running rough and at a stop it dies

This could be due to a bad sensor or a faulty engine component. The best way to know is for it to be diagnosed. I wouldn't want to be driving around and have my pickup die and not be able to get it restarted again. We work on gas and diesel, along with hybrids and electrics. We would be happy to take a look at your vehicle to make sure you're safe on all your adventures.  Give us a call at 541-791-2886 and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

Back to school for your car

It's hard to believe that summer is almost over. By the calendar we have about a month of summer left, but really once the kids go back to school that's really the end of it. We'll hopefully have a few more weekends to go do something, but homework and sports are now taking up most of the time that we have. My car just got in for an oil change and inspection and I'm glad it did as I have a few things that will need to be fixed prior to all the running around that happens when the boys start having games again. Are you ready? Is your car? We both know the answer to #1 yes we're ready for the kids to go back to school, no we're not ready for the crazy that is the fall sports season. On #2 I'm not so sure. I know my car is, but is yours? If you're not sure either then now is the perfect time to schedule your car for it's back to school service.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

My car has a puddle under it

Depending on where your puddle is it could be nothing, or it could be a leak from your engine or transmission. When using your air conditioning, the evaporator core inside your dash gets really cold and it can freeze causing ice to build up on the core. When you stop, it will warm up and as it thaws the water will drain out the bottom of the box. This drain is typically on the passenger side of your car and it will leave a water puddle under your car. If at any time you are concerned it could be something else, please don't hesitate to stop by and we will make sure you're safe on all your adventures.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather
