My car isn't starting

Over time anything can wear out, even your starter. Just think of how many starting cycles you've had over the course of the lifetime of your vehicle. Every single time you start your vehicle your starter has to make that happen. Over a period of many years all that starting can cause the brushes inside of the starter to wear out and stop functioning. Sometimes it's a part that can be repaired and other times it just needs to be replaced -that just depends on the starter itself.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

Why do I need to service my differentials

Your front and rear differentials are an important part of your drivetrain and they are in constant motion even when not engaged. It's important to service them on a regular interval to keep them in good condition. Like anything on your vehicle it's better to maintain it rather than to repair it. Not all vehicles have differentials and those that do not all have both front and rear. 4 wheel drive and all wheel drive vehicles have both. Rear wheel drive only have a rear differential and front wheel drive don't have one at all. The service interval really depends on how you drive and what you do with your vehicle. Much of this depends on the manufacturer recommendations. If you have a "normal" car then the interval is typically 45,000 to 50,0000 miles. If you drive a sports car then it will depend sometimes it's 20,000 and other times it's 30,000 miles. If you drive a pickup then it all depends on the type of gears, the type of fluid and whether o ... read more

Why do I need an alignment?

We recommend that you get an alignment once every 12 months or after suspension work is performed. After a year of driving there is a lot that your vehicle goes through. Everything from large speed bumps, pot holes, curbs all so many thing in between that can cause your alignment to get out of specification. Having an alignment performed after new tires, suspension work and/or once every 12 months will make sure your tires are wearing correctly to make your investment last as long as possible. What do I put in my radiator?

It seems that every car manufacturer has a different type of coolant they want in your engine. There is no one size fits all and many are very specific. If you put the wrong type of coolant in your engine it could potentially damage it. You should always add the type of coolant plus distilled water to your radiator. Tap water and well water contain elements that are hard on your engine.  Now if you're in a situation that it's an emergency then you can add a different coolant and just the water you have on hand. The engine and radiator can be cleaned and the correct fluids can be replaced.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

My wipers stopped working
