What options do I have for Snow Tires?

Winter is here, and it's time to think about the best tires for snowy roads. Two main types are studded and studless snow tires, and each has its own strengths. Let's explore the differences to help you choose the right ones for your winter drives.  Studless Snow Tires: Quiet and Snow-Friendly Studless snow tires are made with a softer material to grip snowy surfaces better. They don't have metal studs, so they're kinder to roads. These tires work well in the snow, giving you good control and handling. Their soft rubber can bend with the snowy road bumps. Good Things about Studless Snow Tires: 1. All-Around Use: These tires work great in different winter conditions, making them good for places with lots of snow. 2. Not Too Loud: Because of their soft material, these tires don't make much noise on dry roads, so your ride is smoother and quieter. 3. When should I replace my tires?

When should I replace my tires?

Your tires have wear bars on them and they should be replaced when you get to the wear bars. At that point they do not have enough tread left to displace water and could cause you to hydroplane on water.  If you're unsure if your car is ready for tires stop by and we will check them for you and let you know if you're due. I would also suggest an alignment whenever you get new tires. It's protection on the investment you made on your car.  Happy Adventures, Heather

How often should I have my tires rotated?

How often should I have my tires rotated?

You should have your tires rotated every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. We typically say your tires should be rotated at each oil change to make sure they wear evenly and properly. We also recommend to have an alignment performed every 12 months, it's great maintenance for your tires. We will do a free rotate with your oil change, give us a call to schedule or you can request an appointment online.  Happy Adventures, Heather

Shop Small Business Saturday

Shop Small Business Saturday

I know today is black Friday and that itself has become a national holiday, but with all of that please remember to shop at the local stores in your town. They are small businesses trying to provide for there families, they work long hours with very little reward other than to know they are making a difference in the lives of the people who they employ and to there children. We are a small business too and sometimes people forget.  Please remember to shop small and support that local family who is doing their best to make a difference. Happy Adventures,  Heather

Why do I have a tire pressure light?

Why do I have a tire pressure light?

Your tire pressure light lets you know when your tire pressure is low to prevent a blow out when you're driving down the highway. It also prevents tire damage from driving on tires that do not have enough pressure in them.  If that light comes on it's best to have it checked as soon as you can. Happy Adventures Heather

Why does my car shake at highway speed?

Why does my car shake at highway speed?

Most of the time when we have a high-speed shake the problem is tire balance not alignment. It may also be caused by a bad tire or an out of  round tire, your service center can inspect the tires and let you know just what needs to be done to correct the problem. If you are having this kind of issue it should be checked sooner than later, if you have a bad tire it may let you down any time or any where. We had a little visitor to the shop today. She was just so adorable! Happy Adventures Heather
