Today I thought we should discuss a few holiday travel tips that while the are good for this time of year are also a good reminder for the entire year.  1. Breathe - we are all trying to get to where we are going and getting upset is not going to get you there any quicker.  2. Leave early - you already know the roads will be packed, leave a little early so you don't have to worry about being late. Make sure you have an alternate route in case the road is stopped - maybe just take that one instead, a scenic drive is always nice.  3. Don't get hangry - take snacks, it doesn't matter how long the drive just take some snacks. 4. Get fuel the day before you leave - trust me you don't want this fight. 5. Rethink your packing - the night before go through and decide what is really needed and then thin it out.  6. I know today is black Friday and that itself has become a national holiday, but with all of that please remember to shop at the local stores in your town. They are small businesses trying to provide for there families, they work long hours with very little reward other than to know they are making a difference in the lives of the people who they employ and to there children. The holidays are upon us, I have my turkey thawing, the table is set and now the countdown is on.  I am one of the lucky ones this year I am hosting so I won't have to worry about traveling. We hope that no matter where you are off to whether it is just down the street or across the state that you are safe and you make it there without any worries.  If it's been awhile since your vehicle was seen give us a call, we still have a few appointments available to make sure you're safe on all your travels. I know I already wrote this on Friday, but I don't think you can say thank you to many times to the men and women who do and have served our country....and a little history that I found out over the weekend. WWI ended on November 11, 1918 making this the 100th anniversary of that date. It ended on the 11th month, the 11th day and the 11th  hour. The world would not be the place it is today without every single one of those men and women who served our country.  Did you know that veterans day is just that a day for those who have previously served our country, it is only for veterans and not for those who actively serve. I found that out this weekend when I was telling one of my dearest friends happy veterans day and thanking him once again for his service. He always says thank you but did correct me for the future. A couple weeks ago Jason and I were fortunate enough to get to go with our oldest son to a water polo tournament in Modesto California. We made it a family trip and it was an awesome experience. The boys did well in the tournament and I look forward to going again in the future.  That being said it made me think that the holidays are not to far away and with that comes all the travel to grandma's house and to visit all those friends and relatives. This is the time to get your vehicle in to have it checked out. We can give you a list of anything that is important and those things that need to be taken care of in the future. We all just want to get where we are going without having to think about having car issues.
