Your check engine light is a picture of an engine and when it comes on there is a problem with your engine or your transmission. It can come on due to a misfire, engine failure, a sensor, and it also monitors your transmission and drivetrain. The maintenance light typically says "service engine soon" it's usually your reminder for your oil change. On some vehicles it also monitors the life of your fuel filter and other components too. Give us a call and let us take care of you and your automotive needs. Happy Adventures, Heather

If your car has these symptoms then it needs to be checked out. You could have an engine misfire and that is what caused the check engine light to come on. It would also explain the shaking and your car wanting to die. We would need to diagnose why the check engine light is on and what is causing the shaking. The misfire could be from spark plugs or injectors. If you're having issues give us a call and let us take care of you. Happy Adventures, Heather

I know today is black Friday and that itself has become a national holiday, but with all of that please remember to shop at the local stores in your town. They are small businesses trying to provide for there families, they work long hours with very little reward other than to know they are making a difference in the lives of the people who they employ and to there children. We are a small business too and sometimes people forget. Please remember to shop small and support that local family who is doing their best to make a difference. Happy Adventures, Heather

There are many reasons for a rough idle from a fuel issue to a misfire from older spark plugs. If your car is running rough it's always a good idea to have it checked out, before it causes an even bigger problem.о Happy Adventures Heather

That indicator is for the electronic throttle control and if it comes on it is best to have it checked out. Many throttles (gas pedal) are not controlled electronically and not by a cable. Happy Adventures Heather

The other day while I was in town with my youngest he saw a car and pointed it out and asked what was wrong with it. I told him it was smoking and that it looked like they had it under control as there were plenty of people around the car. He told me that it shouldn't do that it's not good for it, and I agreed immediately. If your car is smoking you should have it looked at as soon as possible. If you're having issues give us a call and we will make sure you're safe to be out on the road. We don't just do repairs we can take care of all your maintenance needs from oil changes, tune ups, brakes, belts, water pumps, air conditioning, alignments, suspension and more. Your check engine light can come on for so many reasons - sometimes it's as simple as a loose gas cap and other times if not addressed can cause engine damage. The best way to know what is going on is to take it in and have it checked . It happens to all of us. The picture is of my check engine light that came on just a few weeks ago. It was for the knock sensor which is a common failure on my car. I had them replaced and now it's running beautiful again. Give us a call and we'll make sure you keep going to where you're headed.
