My oil can light came on

The oil can light on your dash is for your oil pressure. This light will come on when you have an issue with your oil pressure. This is one of those times that you should not keep driving and pull over as soon as it is safe too. The light could be on due to a faulty sensor but it comes on more times because of low oil pressure and this can be due to not enough oil or to much oil in your engine. It can also be due to the oil pump not pumping the correct amount of oil into your engine. It needs to be checked and diagnosed properly to prevent damage from occurring in your engine.  Give us a call and let us take care of you. 541-791-2886 Happy Adventures,  Heather

Why did my car overheat while driving

Your car could have overheated due to a loss of coolant/antifreeze. This could be from a faulty hose clamp to a leak with your water pump. The only way to know for sure is to have it checked to make sure you have all the information about your vehicle. When ever your car starts to overheat you need to pull over as soon as it's safe and turn off your engine. Overheating can lead to damage of your engine and possible engine failure.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

My car isn't starting

Over time anything can wear out, even your starter. Just think of how many starting cycles you've had over the course of the lifetime of your vehicle. Every single time you start your vehicle your starter has to make that happen. Over a period of many years all that starting can cause the brushes inside of the starter to wear out and stop functioning. Sometimes it's a part that can be repaired and other times it just needs to be replaced -that just depends on the starter itself.  Give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures,  Heather

When should my car get serviced?

Your car should get it's oil changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. We realize that the dealership may recommend for a longer oil change interval, but we've found that when you extend your oil change out longer than 5,000 miles then it can cause long term issues with your engine. Over time your oil breaks down and it isn't able to lubricate your engine as well as it did. This is why we recommend to have your oil changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. We recommend 3,000 to those who are not using full synthetic and 5,000 to those who are using full synthetic oil. Give us a call and let us take care of you. 541-791-2886 Happy Adventures, Heather

How often should my car get an oil changed?

How often should my car get an oil changed?

Your oil change interval is dependent on the type of oil that your engine uses. If you use a synthetic blend oil which is a combination of full synthetic and convention oil then we recommend you change your oil every 3,000 miles. If your engine uses full synthetic oil then we recommend you have your oil changed every 5,000 miles. Oil changes are a inexpensive way to make sure you get as much life out of your engine as possible. Having the correct oil in your engine and servicing it on a regular interval is the best way to achieve that.  Give us a call to make your next appointment for your vehicle. My check engine light is on and my car is shaking and wants to die.

My check engine light is on and my car is shaking and wants to die.

If your car has these symptoms then it needs to be checked out. You could have an engine misfire and that is what caused the check engine light to come on. It would also explain the shaking and your car wanting to die. We would need to diagnose why the check engine light is on and what is causing the shaking. The misfire could be from spark plugs or injectors.  If you're having issues give us a call and let us take care of you.  Happy Adventures, Heather

How often should I change the oil in my diesel?

We recommend to change the oil in your diesel pickup every 5,000 miles. A lot can happen in 5,000 miles to your engine and it's components. Small issues that you don't notice can become big ones if not taken care of or noticed. We do an inspection on every vehicle that we see every time we see it.  If you think it's time for an oil change on your diesel give us a call and we'll take care of that for you.  Happy Adventures, Heather

How often should I have my tires rotated?

How often should I have my tires rotated?

You should have your tires rotated every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. We typically say your tires should be rotated at each oil change to make sure they wear evenly and properly. We also recommend to have an alignment performed every 12 months, it's great maintenance for your tires. We will do a free rotate with your oil change, give us a call to schedule or you can request an appointment online.  Happy Adventures, Heather

Shop Small Business Saturday

Shop Small Business Saturday

I know today is black Friday and that itself has become a national holiday, but with all of that please remember to shop at the local stores in your town. They are small businesses trying to provide for there families, they work long hours with very little reward other than to know they are making a difference in the lives of the people who they employ and to there children. We are a small business too and sometimes people forget.  Please remember to shop small and support that local family who is doing their best to make a difference. Happy Adventures,  Heather
